FROM THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA

Take I-395 toward I-295 South (southeast DC), follow I-295 to the Indian Head exit (Rte. 210 South). Go about ten miles on Rte. 210 and take a left exit/turn to Waldorf Rte. 228 South. As you go through Waldorf, the road becomes Rte. 5 South. Follow Rte. 5 South into St. Mary's County and in Mechanicsville - you will stay on the four-lane divided highway as it becomes Rte. 235 South. (Rte. 5 turns off to the right - don't go there)

Many more pleasurable miles through the rural countryside will bring you to the big-town, Lexington Park. A few blocks passed the Days Inn (on your right), Freedom Park will be on your right at the corner of Rte. 235 (Three Notch Road) and Tulagi Place.

Give yourself about one hour and 45 minutes from the Wilson Bridge.

 

FROM NORTHERN VIRGINIA

Heading north on Interstate 95, just as you come off the Wilson Bridge, take the Indian Head exit (Rte. 210 South). Go about ten miles and take a left exit/turn to Waldorf (Rte. 228 South). As you go through Waldorf, the road becomes Rte. 5 South. Follow Rte. 5 South into St. Mary's County and in Mechanicsville - you will stay on the four-lane divided highway as it becomes Rte. 235 South. (Rte. 5 turns off to the right - don't go there)

FROM THE NORTH (BALTIMORE)

OPTION ONE: (Easiest) Follow Interstate 95 South to the Beltway East (also I-95). Take the Rte. 4 South exit (Pennsylvania Avenue). Follow this scenic rural road for about 30 + miles and small towns and be sure to catch the left-lane-only Thomas Johnson Bridge over the Patuxent River (also Rte. 4 South).

About four or five miles past the bridge, take a left (traffic light) onto Rte. 235 South (Three Notch Road). Go another six or so miles to the town of Lexington Park. A few blocks passed the Days Inn (on your right), Freedom Park will be on your right at the corner of Rte. 235 (Three Notch Road) and Tulagi Place.

Give yourself about one hour and 45 minutes from the I-95 and Rte. 4 intersection.

OPTION TWO: (Quickest) Follow Interstate 97 South (from either the Inner Harbor Tunnel or I-695) at some points you will need to take two exits to finally reach the main road of I-97. In a few miles, take the Rte. 3 South exit, (note that this is the second exit past the Rte. 3 Business exit).

Follow Rte. 3 South and it will become Rte. 301 South. In Upper Marlboro, exit on to Rte. 4 South. Follow this scenic rural road for about 30 + miles and be sure to catch the left-lane-only Thomas Johnson Bridge over the Patuxent River (also Rte 4.)
