​Tasking: The Membership Committee works with the Secretary to ensure that membership records are accurate and up to date, provide and process membership forms and cards as directed by the Board, and work to attract and retain new members.
History & Research - Alma Jordon, Chair

Time: First Thursday of each month at noon
Place: USCT Interpretive Center
Tasking: The History & Research Committee is responsible for gathering and recording the history of Afro-American contributions to the county. They plan and organize volunteers for most events and venues.

Time: Occasionally on first Tuesdays at 5:00 pm
Place: USCT Interpretive Center
​Tasking: The Development Committee creates and follows through on any fundraising activities and events. In this capacity, this committee is responsible for preparing proposals and identifying and pursuing potential funders, including government grants and private foundation funds. This committee plans and executes minor and major donor campaigns and works closely with the membership committee.
Public Relations - Merideth Taylor, Chair

Time: Second Tuesday at 6:00 pm
Place: Zoom
Tasking: The Public Relations Committee is responsible for spreading the word about the overall goals, events, and accomplishments of the organization. They oversee the website, publications, and press releases. This committee seeks opportunities to present the work of the organization to other community groups and educational institutions.

Juneteenth - Nathaniel Scroggins, Chair

Time: Second Thursday at 6:00 pm from January through June

Tasking: The Juneteenth Committee plans and executes the annual Juneteenth Celebration event, and works closely with the Development and Public Relations Committees to maximize fundraising and increase attendance.

Tasking: The Scholarship Committee provides BECA with UCAC's offerings each year and evaluates and chooses applicants for awards.

Tasking: The Monument Committee works with county agencies and members to insure the maintenance of the monuments and memorials, and any other projects as assigned by the Board of Directors.
Hospitality / Social - Emily Lewis & Anna Moseley, Co-chairs

(Committee is action oriented and does not meet often)
Tasking: The Hospitality/Social Committee provides hospitality, care and concern for
UCAC members.
Finance - Nat Lawrence, Chair

Time & Place: Occasionally holds lunch hour meetings at local restaurants
Tasking: The Finance Committee prepares budgets, maintains proper financial records, and accounts for revenues and expenditures.
