UCAC is an all-volunteer organization. We are dependent on volunteers to do everything from paying the bills to planning our programs to researching and interviewing countians to running our annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration. Please volunteer for one of our committees, as all of our activities take root from our committees. Contact us to volunteer.

UCAC collects oral histories of African Americans who have contributed to the development of St. Mary's County. We have more than 100 interviews accessible to the public - and we hope that family and friends will send us additional resources to add to the stories; items like photographs, articles, legal documents, and such, can greatly add to the history. If you would like to suggest someone for UCAC to interview, please contact us.
